Who needs clothes when it's 100 degrees outside! We do have a rule that she must be fully dressed to go outside, though. Thankfully she obeys that one.
Already just one week in we were seeing lots of potty progress. On Monday Corynn stayed dry all day, until she got busy playing outside after supper and had an accident in the sand box. Each time during the day she informed me that she needed to sit on the potty! What a nice change from having to guess or her just going when and where ever she wanted.
New issues arose this week as Corynn decided she needed to start getting out of bed after we said "good night" to her in the evening. Numerous times she's quietly sneak out of bed and start playing in the living room until we heard her and sent her back to bed. Usually one of those time out of bed also included a trip to the bathroom.
Another struggle for me this week was the fact that Corynn told me too often that she needed to sit on the potty. I could sense from her body language that she needed to go, so when she'd tell me, we'd go; but then nothing would happen. Then 10 minutes later she'd tell me again, we'd go, and nothing would happen. Usually about the 3rd or 4th trip, she would finally give in and actually do something, but boy did I get frustrated with all the false alarms. Finally I made her lead the way to the bathroom and if she got at all distracted on the way, I knew it wasn't for real and I would go back to working or whatever we had been doing. If she ran to the bathroom with me, it was usually the real deal.
By Sunday, however, Corynn was telling us every time she needed to go potty, with much fewer false alarms, and she stayed dry all day - including overnight and nap time! I sense success in just 14 days! Who knows what next week will bring.

On Monday Corynn (and baby Todd) had to try out the "ear muffs" she got daddy for Father's Day.
Monday evening we witnessed an intense hail storm just as Kevin arrived home from work. (Thankfully it literally started as he was turning off the car and shutting the garage door.) The largest piece of hail (shown above) measured 1 1/4 inches in diameter.
Tuesday we enjoyed some silly swinging - again with baby Todd
and some silly time playing in the bathtub
Wednesday we modeled our matching pink tank tops
and look how cute Corynn is with her headband. Unfortunately she only left it on for about 2 minutes. But that was 2 minutes longer than before.
On Thursday morning, even though it was a cool 80 degrees, we got out the sprinkler. Corynn mostly just looked at it and ran around it, but it was a nice shower for the grass, right?

Who knew a whipped cream container would make a great hat?! (this was Friday)
On Sunday morning we went to El Dorado Lake for another triathlon. Last year after the race Corynn and I discovered the great playground, so I wasn't worried that we'd get bored during the 2 hour race this year! And Corynn was not disappointed, not to mention that she got to play with grandma Nickel, uncle Kenton, and aunt Eunice who also came to the race.
