It's our newest niece - Myra Joi Peters. She joined our family on Friday, December 31, 2010 at 9:02am to first-time parents Jason and Renae! She weighed 8 pounds 5 ounces at birth and was 20 inches long.
Despite their lack of sleep, the proud new parents allowed us to come visit Friday evening, and we were very excited to see Myra for the first time.
Everyone looked great and Myra was peacefully sleeping during our visit at the hospital.
The family was able to come home on Sunday, so we took Corynn over to their house so she could meet her newest cousin. Once again Corynn had little interest in holding or paying attention to the little baby, but I took advantage of holding Myra while I could!
(Myra came home with a bili-blanket, due to slightly elevated bilirubin counts, thus the grey cord "tail" in this picture.)
Welcome home Myra Joi! We're so happy you arrived safely and we hope you and your parents get some rest sometime soon! Congrats Jason & Renae!
