Well, she fell off the bleachers and on to her face at my rec volleyball game Tuesday night, and apparently it hurt pretty bad because my whole team was concerned about her crying. Kevin was there and took care of her, but her nose started to bleed a little and almost immediately looked bruised. I was worried she did permanent damage to it, but the pediatrician's office assured me it's nearly impossible to break a nose at her age and the bruise would fade after a few days - which it did! Thank goodness!
That event was about the most exciting thing to happen this week - August 30-September 5, but in addition to that, Corynn mastered learning her basic colors: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, pink, white, brown, black, and gray. She gets black and gray mixed up every once in awhile, but otherwise does really well. I'm not sure why she caught on to this so quickly, but I have to believe it has something to do with a CD all about colors she got for Christmas last year that we listen to frequently!
She also continues to enjoy coloring and states all the colors she is using in the process
This week Corynn began requesting the "God is Great" prayer at mealtimes. We started saying it to her a few weeks ago, but this week, she would say "God great!" when we'd sit down at the dinner table, so we'd have to indulge her again. And when I leave out the last words of the phrases, she often fills in the correct words.
Corynn is still working on some top teeth which makes meal time and random times throughout the day so much more eventful.
This bouncy seat makes its way out of the closet a little too often these days as Corynn LOVES to play in it. Obviously she's a bit too big for it which causes it to tip over backwards and sideways every now and then. Thankfully we sent it home with aunt Renae this week so we won't have to deal with anymore injuries caused by a big girl in a little seat!
This family of turkeys appeared this week and traveled through our backyard almost every day. If you can't see in the photo, there are 5 baby birds along with the adult.
