More Easter Fun!

Happy Easter!

The excitement of this week definitely revolved around the Easter holiday!

On Saturday our family spent the morning in Hutchinson. Corynn and I went over to our friends - the Hiebert's - to play, while Kevin worked. Corynn and Jackson (who is one month younger than her) had a great time playing with all of his toys. Everything was new and exciting for Corynn. Jackson's mom and dad and I had a good time watching the kids play together and catching up. We all met up with Kevin for lunch and then we headed back home.

In the evening we went to my parent's house to celebrate Easter with them, my siblings, and my aunt, uncle and cousin! We had the traditional Easter egg hunt - for the grand kids, not Corynn - and enjoyed a delicious meal! We arrived a little early, so before the "party" started, Corynn and grandpa had some fun with eggs and a ride-on toy from when I was a kid!

Easter Sunday was another busy and fun day. After getting Corynn all dolled up in her new Easter dress and sandals, we enjoyed a wonderful church service; then spent a few minutes at aunt Pam and uncle Brent's house while we changed clothes and got food ready for lunch; then headed over to great-grandpa and -grandma Funk's house for another great (big) meal! The afternoon consisted of naps for most of the men and a gift hunt for the younger grand and great-grand kids.

Easter morning before church

It warmed up nicely throughout the morning, so after church we enjoyed watching Corynn run around outside. (I included the 2nd photo from behind because Corynn's hair is getting so long and she had the cutest curls this day.)

Sporting some more new Easter clothes after church. Corynn loved wearing a kitty on her shirt and I loved the plaid carpis! Thanks grandma Janine!

Playing with a REAL kitty at Pam & Brent's house. You can't tell at all that she was having fun.

On the hunt for Easter goodies! She loaded up on stuffed toys, bubbles, candy and sweets, and a few other fun toys! Thanks to all the Funk aunts for the great gifts.

Wishing you all a blessed Easter season!

Enjoy just a couple more photos from this week - March 29-April 4:

Becoming quite the acrobat and trying to climb on to everything these days

One morning she repeatedly walked her pull toys up and down the hallway backwards, just having a great time. Watch the video below for more footage of this event.

Running around the house with her Easter buckets. She carried these around the house for the longest time, stopping occasionally to put things in them and take them back out. So easily entertained - thankfully!
