Today was Corynn's first day of Kindergarten! Where has the time gone? Wasn't it just one short post ago she was going to her first day of preschool!? (Sorry for my lack of blogging over the past year.)
She's had lots of questions and concerns over the past few weeks, wondering who her teacher would be, where her classroom would be, where the bus would drop her off at school, what they would do at Kindergarten, and much more, but this morning it was all business and excitement.
We (all) had to wake up quite a bit earlier than we were used to over the summer, but we did it. Without too much dilly-dallying, we made it through breakfast, changing clothes, first day of school pics, and even had time to spare as we waited for the school bus to arrive at the end of our driveway. What a special (and emotional for me) day!

She came home (from her half day of school) all smiles saying the bus ride was the best part of her day and she couldn't wait to ride the bus home after school as well! She also seemed to enjoy recess, as that was the other part she talked about in detail the most. So glad she had a good first day and is looking forward to the next! Hopefully this is a reflection of how the entire year will go!
