Corynn worked on her ABC's and lined up these letters all by herself. Now I'll try and teach her about working from left to right, so she doesn't become dyslexic.
She enjoyed reading stories to Todd. Often she will sing a different song for every page in a book, since she can't read the words. This can get pretty entertaining and go on for quite some time depending on how many pages the book has.
This particular afternoon she was making up words to familiar tunes while reading the book she calls the "Color Book" (because each page has a different colored background on it). See if you can name the tunes and understand what color she's singing about.
On Friday we borrowed Papa Nickel's vehicle and trailer and headed out to Pine Creek Christmas Tree Farm near Goessel to find the perfect tree for our house. It was a chilly day, so we got all bundled up and headed out shortly after lunch.

But when we got to the Candy Cane Maze, she knew just what to do and led us right through the maze, without a problem!
While Kevin was out for the afternoon and evening, Corynn and I set to work getting out all the lights and ornaments and decorated the tree. She was a big help hanging the ornaments at her level as long as she could get the strings around those stiff pine needles.
On Saturday we went to Hutch with Kevin in the morning to play at Pinnacle, do a little Christmas shopping, and visit our friends who just had a baby at the end of October. We hadn't been to their house to play for quite some time, so Corynn was very excited to see Jackson and play with his toys again.
Corynn learned all the trick of the trade about driving trucks from her buddy Jackson and loved playing with some non-girly toys for a change!
And I got to hold one-month-old Mia, who slept the entire time! What a sweetie!
That evening Corynn spent the night with G & G Nickel in Goessel while Kevin and I went back to Hutch for his company Christmas party. She had a great time with grandma and papa and we didn't have to rush back home to get her to bed at a decent hour! It was great to see her in church the next morning and hear ALL of her stories about what went on the night before!
