We stopped at the central gazebo, tourist information office, got some advice on what else to see while we were in the city, and then headed for Explora! the children's science museum on the other side of Old Town.
Explora! was a hit for both Corynn and us! Everything was at her eye level and most things were at her comprehension level as well. But it was fun for Kevin and I to be a kid for a couple hours as well and enjoy all the discoveries Corynn was making.
Immediately inside the entrance was this huge marble game. We could have sat here and watched just this for an hour, since Corynn is very into marble games these days.
Then there was a wall where you could build your own ramps, slides and shoots for marbles. Kevin could have spent the entire day here, but I finally encouraged both of them to move on and see the rest of the museum.

There were different sections on each of the senses, as well as electricity, water, wind, and light. This was in the 'sound' section.
Corynn tried out her karaoke skills and sang "Jesus Loves Me" into this microphone - where you could watch the sand jump in the table with the sound vibrations.
Outside on the deck was an area to build with huge Lincoln Logs. Kevin and Corynn built a "playhouse."
And then Corynn decided to take a nap in it.

Corynn loved this color wheel. She could put different colors of triangles on this wheel, then turn the handle which spun it and mixed all the colors together.

It was past lunchtime by the time we made it through the whole museum so we headed back to Old Town for lunch at the Hacienda Restaurant (which was recommended to us, and didn't disappoint). Then we wondered in and out of some of the shops around the Plaza just to see what there was to see.

In the same store we decided to try on some hats, but ended up not buying any.
As it started to rain, we decided to head back to the hotel for naps and some time off of our feet. We deserved to relax after a busy morning and afternoon of fun!
Corynn's favorite thing to do in the hotel room was pick up the phone and start talking, then laughing. Thankfully she never figured out how to dial the phone, or we could have left with a pretty hefty bill when we checked-out.
