We all went to work with Kevin in Hutch on Saturday morning. Corynn loves running around and playing in his gym (when he doesn't have clients).

The big exercise balls are always a hit

Waving to daddy in his office
Then while Kevin had to actually do some work, Corynn and I did a little shopping and then headed to the nearest playground. It was a hot Kansas day so we slathered on the sunscreen and I tried to make Corynn wear her hat and sunglasses, which worked most of the time.

We stumbled upon a tiny elementary school playground first and she enjoyed being the only one there, although she kept asking "where are the other boys and girls?"
Then we walked around the school building and found a much bigger and better playground.

She had absolutely no fear climbing up the steep steps to the tops of these slides, even though I was scared she would let go and fall off. She did give me a "heart attack" when she slipped on the top step of the first slide and almost lost her balance - while I was taking pictures of course - but she recovered quickly!
After lots of fun and sun at the playground, it was back to the office to eat lunch and pick up daddy. But the fun didn't stop there. Kevin typically goes swimming at the YMCA after work on Saturdays and we weren't about to stop him, so we joined him.
This was our second time to this pool and Corynn loves playing on the steps in the shallow end. Plus there was a ball someone left in the pool, so we enjoyed splashing that back and forth to each other.

Kicking and splashing was a lot of fun

This is the best picture we got while she was looking at the camera - obviously not great, but you can tell she's having fun.

When Kevin was done swimming laps he came and played with us for a bit also. It was a busy, fun morning and Corynn took a nice long nap on the way home!
Sunday was Mother's Day which meant more happy memories and celebrations. Both of our nieces were dedicated in church Sunday morning, so we celebrated with the Abrahams' and the dedication of Sophia at Tabor Church. Then after church we went to Alexanderwohl and had lunch with the Peters and Schmidt families in honor of Myra's dedication. It was nice to be able to celebrate with our siblings and their precious little girls!
I enjoyed the day with my little girl as well...

being a little silly,

a little snugly,

and just plain happy! I'm so blessed to be Corynn's mommy!!
And here are a few more snippets from our week - May 2-8:

Corynn asked to have her toenails painted Sunday morning, so here she's checking them out and just being smiley in her kitty towel Sunday evening.

So sweet and innocent with fresh-from-the-tub curls!

Wednesday evening I went to a salad supper with my mom so I left Corynn with my dad at their house for a couple hours. Corynn was introduced to this marble game and had so much fun with it. She had to show me everything about it when I came to pick her up! Can you see her excitement in the video? She would stand back and clench her fists as the marbles rolled to the bottom!

"Riding" her bike with a stocking cap?! It was not that cold, Corynn just found the hat and wanted to wear it!

Having a tea party with her stuffed animals!

Playing with her Memory game - have I mentioned how good she is at this game?!

Into the baby toys again! When Myra is over Corynn insists on playing with anything she might possible want or need! It didn't take long for her to realize this toy wasn't as much fun as it used to be when she was actually the right size for it.
