Snow, Sprinkles, and Silliness!

As always, our little girl lives to make us laugh, and this week (February 7-13) was no exception!

Wearing daddy's flip-flops around the house

Playing INSIDE her toy box! Why not?!

Corynn got this cupcake set for Christmas and must be bored playing with them the normal way, because she creates new ways to stack and arrange them everyday. I am always amazed at the towers and creative ways she ends up putting these pieces together.

Singing and playing ring-around-the-rosie with her dolls:

Sharing some of her favorite songs and prayer at lunchtime:

Comfy couch time - first with our neighbor Braden on his Cars couch, then the following day on Corynn's Elmo couch with her dolls

Corynn has become more and more interested in helping me wash dishes lately, and she is actually quite a helper with this chore. See for yourself:

On Tuesday we experienced yet another winter storm which left at least 12 inches or more of snow on the ground. Wednesday morning our family bundled up and ventured outside to see just how much snow we actually got.

Corynn begged us to go play in her sandbox (now we call it her snowbox), but since it was completely buried in snow, she settled for just sitting by it.

"Smiling" for the camera

Snowy family fun!

With Valentine's Day approaching, I thought it might be fun to make sugar cookies with Corynn since she's so interested in cookie cutters (with play-dough) and anything I do in the kitchen. So Thursday morning we took on the task of making heart-shaped Valentine cookies!

Corynn loved cutting out the cookies and placing them on the pans

Then I put Corynn in charge of the sprinkles and she loved it and actually did a pretty nice job. (Her perfectionist mommy had to learn to relax a bit and just let her have some fun, and not worry about every cookie looking perfect. It was a struggle for a little bit, but then became quite humorous as I noticed that Corynn was perfectly fine putting one sprinkle on a cookie, and then piling the sprinkles on the next one!)

Our finished products and one happy little helper

By Friday the snow was starting to melt, so it was perfect for snowman-making! Kevin graciously took Corynn out in the afternoon and she "helped" him make the perfect snowman. I, of course, watched and took pictures from inside!

The finished product!
