First Snowfall of the Season

On Friday of this week, we witnessed the first snow flakes of this "winter." Even Corynn was pretty excited when we stuck her head out the door so she could see the flakes falling against the glow of our yard light. The ground was too warm for anything to accumulate, but we enjoyed watching the huge flakes fall for a few minutes.

And obviously since we had snow, the temperatures were dropping this week. So that meant we had to get out some more of our winter gear.

Corynn wanted to try on her hat and mittens one night before going to bed - and she's been sleeping in these warm, fuzzy, footed pajamas for a couple weeks now too

We got all bundled up to go play outside one afternoon. The temperature wasn't too cold, but the wind made it a little chilly.

Corynn learned two interesting words this week: zwiebach and tortilla. (I guess you could say she's trilingual now, huh?) Grandma Nickel brought us some zwiebach one evening and after eating a couple, she had the word figured out perfectly so she could easily request more!

And this video demonstrates her ability to say tortilla which she picked up while eating a quesadilla one day for lunch.

Corynn also started singing "Jesus Loves Me" spontaneously throughout the week - November 8-13. I couldn't get a good video of her singing it, but here's a little clip of what it sounds like even though she gets a little distracted - half of it is in a whisper, so listen carefully.
