In addition to that excitement, Corynn has begun saying two word sentences lately. Such as: "bye bye daddy," and "more bread." It's so fun to watch her figure out that she can communicate by combining her words together! She also has learned new words this summer like "flip flop," "swim suit," "towel," and loves to say "bye bye truck" to the combines that drive by - which we discovered this weekend that she hates!
I'll let the photos and videos show the rest of the details from our week - June 14-20:
My favorite photos from Corynn playing in the puddles on Monday; and a few videos from our wet adventures:
Shortly after this photo was taken, Corynn threw up several times around the house. I guess her breakfast didn't sit well with her, because once she got rid of it she was fine for the rest of the day! Not a fun way to start our Tuesday, or celebrate her 18 month birthday!
This was Corynn post-sickness; still monkeying around!
Corynn's staple food this week was bread - Friendship bread, banana bread and muffins, or regular bread with jelly! She would literally wake up in the mornings and from her naps and the first things she would say was "Bread? More bread?" Luckily we had these bread options to satisfy her cravings! (Here you can see just how much she is enjoying it - with chocolate and crumbs all over her face, shirt, and hair!)
Friday morning we visited the doctor for Corynn's 18 month well-child check up. She weighed in around 20 pounds and everything checked out fine! Fortunately we were given an exam room with windows and a basketball goal, because during our long wait we spent a lot of time looking at the cars and puddles out the windows and shooting baskets. Who knew our little girl had a talent for basketball already - check it out:
While watching the train out our windows, I captured these precious shots:
Friday evening my family got together at Jason and Renae's house for supper and to celebrate all of the June birthdays and anniversaries. Corynn had to try out their new bath tub and toys they had recently gotten for their upcoming baby.
On Sunday we got together with some of my mom's family at my uncle Rick and aunt Dorlee's house in Goessel. They have a pool and swing set in their backyard, so Corynn was in heaven for the afternoon! Thank you Rick for swimming with Corynn - she seemed to love it!
And here are just a couple more videos from this week:
Corynn LOVES playing in cars! Here's a clip of all the fun she can have!
One afternoon she went crazy with her stroller - around and around the house laughing and "boom boom"ing the whole time. It probably lasted 15 minutes!
