Next Big Trip

This week we took another trip for a triathlon. The destination - Windsor, Colorado. Actually, Kevin chose this race because his grandma and aunt, uncle, and cousins live in or near Windsor; so it was fun to see them again and have even more family cheering him on!

We left for our trip Thursday evening (with Kevin's parents) and made it as far as Oakley, KS before Corynn was ready for a break; and we had made it almost 3 1/2 hours, so that was a good stopping point for all of us as well. We headed out again Friday morning for Colorado and made it to our destination shortly after lunch. Corynn did great on the trip! We were so blessed that she cooperated so well both there and back home.

Exhausted from the exciting weekend in Colorado

This was the first time Corynn met her great-grandma Nickel (who thoroughly enjoyed meeting her first great-granddaughter!), and Kevin's aunt from Nebraska was also visiting, so Corynn met her for the first time as well. They both loved watching her wiggle and enjoyed listening and trying to figure out all of her sounds.

Unfortunately it rained every day we were in Colorado, but despite that we still managed to enjoy the outdoors and the mountains. Besides Kevin's race Saturday morning, we also went to Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park for a hike on Sunday, and then made the long trip home on Monday (after dropping Kevin off at the Denver airport because he is spending the next week in Seattle for a work conference).

Enjoying (and sleeping during) her first hike in the mountains

Once it started raining on our hike, we tried everything to keep Corynn dry. Luckily she was still sleeping so she didn't even know what we were doing to her!

Here are a couple more random photos from this week - May 18-24:

Several times in the past week Corynn has fallen asleep in her Exer-Saucer. It's just too cute!

So happy to be wiggling (and not wearing any pants). We all love the warmer weather!
