This week - July 2-8 - was a busy, funny, fun, winning week!
We started the week with a trip to the dentists office.
Wednesday was the 4th of July - a holiday for the whole family!
We found this patriotic dress in the hand-me-down box this weekend - the perfect outfit for the holiday!
We spent the late afternoon at the Abrahams' pool and enjoyed the sun and water with family!
Then we took a little break from swimming for a snack - pudding popsicles!
Then we dried off, enjoyed a hamburger fry for supper at Pam & Brent's and then it was time for fireworks!
Corynn wasn't afraid to try out a few sparklers.
Not such a fan of the noise, Corynn at least stayed outside for the fireworks this year with her "earmuffs" on. She constantly tells me that her favorite "fireworks" are the smoke bombs, especially the purple ones!
Then on to Sunday we went to one more race before baby arrives - this one was only at Lake Afton, near Wichita so we didn't have to go far.
We spent most of the time before, during and after the race on the playground.
Even Kevin - aka champion - got in on the swinging action after the race, so I could sit down for once; never mind that he'd just been racing for two hours! :)
No other family members could come to the race, so Corynn was the only one sporting her "support crew" t-shirt, and she is always proud to wear it! I can't wait till I can fit into mine again!
After the race, we headed to grandma and papa Peters' house for lunch (with my whole family) and an afternoon of swimming, swinging, bubbles, and biking.
Corynn attempts to predict what day each week the baby will arrive. This week, it came and went again with no baby. The nursery is ready, the cradle is assembled, the diapers are purchased (at least a few), our bags are packed, and we're just trying to wait patiently. I'm so anxious to meet this little, busy body that has been inside of me for the past 9 months! Wish us luck!
