Almost Crawling

On Monday we returned to the pediatrician's office so he could attempt to draw Corynn's blood for the tests he wanted to run. Thankfully he was able to find a vein on the first try, so although Corynn was a little uncomfortable during the process, at least there weren't numerous unnecessary sticks. Some of the test results came back the following day, and so far everything looks normal. The remaining lab work may take up to a week to come back.

On Tuesday Corynn finally started scooting forward. If we put the right thing out in front of her, she would scoot on her tummy a few inches to get to it! It was so exciting to watch her make this progress! But it didn't end there, by Friday she was getting up on her knees and rocking and rocking. From there she would still just pull herself forward with her arms, but it's just a matter of time before she uses those knees to crawl!

With all these new talents, I took lots of videos this week - August 17-23. Several show off possible reason why she's not gaining any weight (because she's always on the move!) and several show her newest discoveries:

Perhaps she's directing the choir only she can see in the mirror - you decide! Either way, she always seems to be moving.

Almost on the move!

Corynn discovered this week just how much she could jump in this, but she also discovered how to make this cylinder spin, and spin, and spin!!

This skort was too cute not to have a photo shoot
